Just a curious topic for discussion here.
Anyone has ever used Windows PE and make a PC "factory-like"?
As in, you want to get your PC to a state like when you open up a new PC just purchased from HP and you see all that Windows setup screen. You just input some information and the OS is ready, as opposed to DIY where you have to use the Windows disc, format the partition etc.
Anyone ever tried it?

Anyone yet?

I've never bothered. To create such an installation, you have to go through a lot of trouble. I've found it is easier to just install Windows and all of the updates, the applications I want, and then create an image of the drive and put it on an external drive. When I want to reinstall, I just re-image the drive.
You can download a tutorial on Windows PE and read about the process. It's a lot of work.
