Ok so heres the deal, I am trying to burn a DVD using Encore CS4 using our generic account. That account is just a part of the local user group so people cant add programs or do anything that may jack up the computer.
When I log into the Admin account I can open the program and it recognizes my DVD drive no problem and allows me to burn the DVD, but when Im in the generic account the program doesnt see the DVD drive so I cannot burn the DVD.

Ive tried googeling and searching within these forums with no luck. Im using XP MCE SP3 with Adobe Encore CS4.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Review your generic account and give it some more accessing rights.

Enable "Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user only" in your Local Security Policy (Local Policies/Security Options), reboot.

Nebelwant--Trying that by itself didnt fix the problem, but when you go to WMI--Security--Root and give the users read/write permission along with what you said it allowed the program to access the DVD burner.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick response
