    Hello all

Awhile ago, I was told that I could save my entire iTunes library as a playlist to a DVD-RW disk. I was a bit doubtful, but I decided to try it anyway. We bought a 5 disk set at the store, and I just tried it out today. It didn't work! Why? I have no clue. Why did it work for the guy that told me how to do it?! Now I've just wasted ten bucks on useless blank DVDs. Will I have to save all of my music to a music CD instead? How will I get my music to my laptop?

    Thanks.
    Laura

    Which program did you use?

Did you burn it as data or as a music disc?

I tried to burn the songs on the disk straight from iTunes. I created a playlist with my entire library on it... what should I try? Data or music?

The best option would be to create an MP3 CD, since that holds a lot of music and if you ever get an MP3 CD Player, you can play those in it.

If you got 700MB discs, you can put 700MB of songs on it, not just 80 minutes.

Do data or MP3. They should hold the same amount.

So could I use the DVD-RW disks for music? I would just have to change the format to "data CDs"?

If you use the trial version of Nero, you can burn Data DVDs.

So, with a Data DVD, I can burn my entire iTunes library as a playlist, then put it into my new laptop and import the songs? I'm confused. Where do I change the option of what type of info I burn onto the CD?

Use Nero Burning Rom.. Choose Data CD.. and then find the directory where all your mp3s are located.. drag all your mp3 into the nero list.. you'll see all of them listed.. and the space it will take up at the bottom.. and then just burn it.. make sure you finalize
