    Dear All,

I'm trying to set up my newly purchased HP DV5-1011ea (Nvidia 9600 GS) to Samsung LCD TV which has got a VGA input. Well, I want to make sure that when the Laptop is connected to the Samsung it automatically switches off the laptop display and output to my samsung.
It doesn't. When I connect it with the VGA cable to my Samsung, my laptop automatically changes its own screen to the lowest resolution and doesn't switch to my LCD TV.

It is something that makes impossible to use my laptop as a HTPC... and i basically bought it for this reason.. What I cannot believe is that my HP office laptop (ATI) actually behaves the way I want switching and displaying to my 1080p LCDTV as soon as I connect the cable to its VGA plug.

How can I setup my laptop so that it switches as I need it to? Please help me to make this HTPC laptop work friendly. :)

    Thank you.
