Are you logged in as administrator or a fully-enabled user? If not, Vista may be protecting you from yourself.

I am using Firefox 2.0 and its extension DownThemAll version 9.9. Both are free and do job well in Vista Business that i have without any errors. I am sorry if this not answering your question, but i think you could try them first to see whether its work or not - to prove that no firewall blocking your access.

    i know how to fix:
    open c:\program files
right click on flashget directory -> properties
under security, do a full controll for all the users and administrators

Good, I was gonna suggest orbit. I like it better than flashget for some reason, though they're nearly identical.

I downloaded DAP 8, but it didn't work with Vista Ultimate. When i click on a link to download, NOTHING HAPPENS. Normally you should see a DAP window where you should click to start downloading. but it didn't work with Vista. Anybody knows how to solve this?
