This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    As mentioned - new version of VLC player is out:
    Notable fixes and improvements include:

    * fix flv and mpeg2 seeking,
    * fixes for wmv, wav, rtsp and ssa support,
    * fixes for Qt and Mac OS X interface,
    * fix an integer underflow in Real pseudo-RTSP module,
    * updates of some translations,
    * port of the ZVBI module to Windows for full teletext support and
    * codecs updates for Windows and Mac OS X versions.

    I tried it, but still waiting for a few improvements (better full screen controller for one), so I'm going back to KMPlayer for the time being. Also, the sound is a bit muffled I find, compared to KMP that is.

    Any of you guys know how to export frames to either jpeg or png? I did it with the last version, there was a module for it in video, and you could configure it, but this functionality appears to be missing from this version.

    Great, I'm downloading 1.0.1 for my desktop. I forgot to update it since 1.0 came out. Doh!
