When I downloaded VLC on my laptop I got ALOT of error messages. To get through them I told the computer to ignore them and install anyway. VLC works, but I get a few issues. The updater says it gets an error whenever I try to look for an update, and for some reason I can't play .ogm files on VLC. Anyone know how I can get things working?

btw the OS is Vista Business 64 bit.

Remove what you had. Download VLC from a trusted site like filehippo, and try to reinstall again.

    cheers ...

Did you even read any of the error messages? They have info in them that would be quite vital to figuring out what the actual problem is.

Do you also go to the doctor saying "Something isn't right, give me a pill to fix it?" with no more information?
