I about 3 weeks ago sort of switch from using Media Player Classic that comes with the CCCP (combined community codec package) because it seemed to work full screen when I ran 5760x1200 across all 3 monitors while MPC gave me a black screen and because it would open and play a .ISO file directly without me having to mount it first with a virtual hard drive application.

These features great and all, there is one thing annoying me to no end. Doing anything on the player like using any of the navigation buttons the windows taskbar goes ontop of the video, even on full screen. To make it go away I have to click the video feed again and it will take priority over the taskbar.

I cant seem to find anybody else with the issue online with my google search, even changing the options to "always on top" does not fix it.

I changed back to MPC today and its nice to see its running full screen now with no black screen so that bug was fixed in a new version. Oh and i like how MPC gives me a seek bar the size of my video feed while VLC only gives me a small one so its a lot harder to seek. When you have 5760 horizontal pixels you want to use them :D

Well this is not a VLC vs MPC thread they both have there merits but wondering if anybody else has the issue and if there is any known fix.

    Im using Windows 7 x64.

When on full screen, just drag the VLC bar to a position above the Windows taskbar. By default the VLC bar disappears when the cursor has been idle for a second or two.

I have this problem too. It seems to be an unavoidable bug for which there is no fix.

EDIT: I also experience this problem on W7 64-bit, incidentally.

As this is kind of looking like a W7 64 bit problem, I am moving it to that subforum.

It works just like it should, pops up if you move the mouse cursor there and goes away soon as you take the cursor away I also like the click to pause feature that VLC doesnt have.
