    Hi,

I just reinstalled XP on my laptop and after installing all the drivers I get lots of vertical lines but only when I restart the machine. The color of these vertical lines is modifying after few seconds.

If I shut it down and wait few minutes, when I turn it on, everything goes back to normal.

Here you can view my problem.

    How can I fix it?

    Thanks.

Well I think the problem is with the driver but the thing is that I used this driver for like 1 month without problems and now when I reinstalled the XP, suddenly the driver is not good.

That is probably a hardware problem, either mobo or video card. I've seen hardware problems cause similar vertical lines on a number of occasions, but never a driver issue.

If you have a monitor and your laptop has a vga/dvi port try to connect the external monitor and see if it is usable. If it is then you (at least) have an opportunity to backup your data before you send it in.
