Hello there, I am having this annoying buy in th Windows 7 taskbar and I'm not sure how to explain it.
Microsoft, to make things easier for you, lets you choose windows by clicking on them, and because the taskbar is by default on the bottom of the screen, clicking on the bar of the desired window, or underneath it (means just slide your mouse until you are 'out' of the screen) also works, this saves hell a lot of time because you do not need to slow your movement down and make sure you are exactly pointing to the button, you just ignore the vertical aspect and go all the way down, and focus only on the horizontal one, saving a lot of time. (I'll try to explain again, you want to select a window, you dont need to click on IT, you go to the most low point of the screen and adjust the pointers location to be contained inside the button and it saves a lot of time).
I hope you understood. now the problem is, this thing does not work anymore, i cannot go all the way down and click, because going all the way down does not highlight the button anymore, for some reason. and it's very annoying and wastes my time trying to click exactly on the button instead of doing it the lazy way.![]()

Try moving the task bar to the top and then back to the bottom. I had something like that once and got fixed like that.

I cannot duplicate it....but for what it is worth, I understand your description.
Are you using an odd resolution? Does the problem repeat in all resolutions? -
Changed the resolution one slide back and then changed it back and its fixed.
I'm using the 1680x1050.
Now I need to know what are the reasons that it changes, something must be causing it. -
Are you talking about Aero Peek? where it lets you preview and focus on your folders without clicking on it

1680x1050 10 char

Default windows mouse pointers?
Otherwise, the only thing that seems possible is an altered xy coordinate in the desktop -
Yes everything default, it got fixed though by changing resolution and then changing it back again.
-
yes, I know....I'm just looking for a root cause...

Well I have the Windows font enlarged...
