    To, and from, and for what? There are so many for just specific devises you can't be so general. Let's say it's for the ipod from .avi to .mp4 there are about 10 good programs i know off the bat which are good.

    Check out Doom9.org, they have step-by-step guides, with links to free encoding applications. VirtualDub is one such free video converter.

    From ".mov" file at roughly 300MB to any Youtube supported format file at under 100MB.
