I don't know if this is a problem with my Nvidia Quadro 140 video card or Vista. I have trouble streaming video from online: it'll play for a few seconds then buffer until it reaches 100%, then the process repeats. Other computers I have used-mostly w/ XP, with far poorer specs-do not have this issue, leading me to believe it's an issue with Vista. I was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks!

Video streaming problems would have to do with browser/internet speed/connection. Or maybe the site your streaming is uber slow. Don't blame Vista.

No, I'm at a school with a T1 or better. Great internet connection. The streaming works on other computers on the same network, just not on my machine.

I have the same problem also. When watching many (>10) steaming videos (e.g. youtube) one after another, it loads a few seconds of the clip without sound. I have to restart the browser. I would blame Adobe Flash player as I have experienced the problem on vista, xp and ubuntu (32bit and 64 bit). Also it makes no difference using IE7 or firefox.

I am using T61 with nvidia 140m too. Is this a common problem?

the browser might not be very compatible with vista. vista is said to be slower in many processes. its not likely but it could be possible...

I said I had the problem on different OS. It is less likely vista is the problem.

Just wonder will increasing the network cache setting on firefox help?

It's not Vista, and it's not your GPU. This isn't one of those intuitive fixes, so just play around with the system. Only sure-fire way to determine hardware v. software is with a clean install.

Restart PC, and go to your streaming site and see if you have problems.(doubt you will)

I use a much slower computer with less Ram on the same network, but with XP, and it's able to work. I am trying to stream live video in firefox. Any other suggestions?

Could it be a firefox add-on/extension? Something with the video card?
