I was watching H.264 movies using both VLC and Media Player Classic and noticed that video played in VLC gives a more saturated color then MPC. I captured what I saw in the following picture:

Left is VLC, Right is MPC

I also tried Windows Media Player and it has the same output as MPC.

So which one is showing the right colors?

Hard to say which is correct as MPC-HC and WMP's default EVR video output are easily influenced by video card's enhancements like noise reduction, and dynamic contrast.

You could try check against a non Microsoft video renderer like Haali's renderer or madVR.

Since I calibrated my monitor before, I even had color management enabled in MPC, but still got the same result.
