Does the video take up the full top and bottom of your screen?

If so this is the standard (normal/desired) way a video full screens if it is not the same aspect ratio of your screen.

It maintains the aspect ratio so that it does not distort the image. (I.E. Fat Heads, Ovals instead of Circles)

How you make it full screen and ignore the aspect ratio totally depends on what media player you are using to playback the video. So I can not give you steps until you tell us that.

As for the methods, you have two choices.

A.) Zoom/Overscan - It will keep the aspect of the image but zoom in until the full screen is used, the negative effect is your cropping off the top & bottom of the image and losing the ability to see part of the picture.

B.) Ignore Aspect Ratio - Things will be distorted and look ugly like I stated above.
