When I click on the video, Windows Media player opens and I get the error message:

"Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."

Is there anything I can do to get these to work?

    I am using Chrome.

The videos I want to play are the Nissan Pathfinder videos towards the middle of the page.

The standalone MPC-HC will do it. If you want to use Windows Media Player, you can try install a codec pack.

If you mean in MPC-HC, yes. If you mean Windows Media Player, I don't have that installed.

    Thank you for doing that.

I would prefer not to download something on my hard drive.

Are they working with WMP with codec for anyone?

WMP is a horrendous pile of bad code. MPC-HC is slick, clean, functional and very small. It's really the best way to play videos on Windows.

WMP won't play .mov files. Use Quicktime (you will never use it after a try) or VLC or MPC-HC.

You don't need to install VLC player, just download the zip package and start the player.

    Thank you.

I found a lite codec I am going to try.

If that does not work, I will try these.
