I have a computer with windows home edition installed (i know i know :p)

Anyways, windows home doesn't meet the OS requirements for Virtual PC 2007, but everything is still able to be installed.

Does anyone know if a virtual machine can still be created with an unsupported OS?

Yes,VMs can be created. When you install VP on Home, you get a warning that it is not supported, but everything still works fine. MS does not support questions/problems that arise, but I have not heard of any errors

How so? I use it every day for development and have no issues with it.
