Can I run a virtual pc from a flash drive? like a memory stick pro 8gb? or something like that? I want to run windows 98 from it... wondering if I could do it... and also run the games from the same memory card (half life, diablo, command and conquer red alert)

Get VMware Server or Workstation. They have experimental DirectX support. Also with VMware you can install the main program on the computer and run the virtual machines on your flash drive. Hopefully your flash drive is fast enough.

You can put the virtual harddrive fil on the memory card, but you need virtual pc to be installed on the computer. You can play games from 98, since i believe the gpu that is amulated is a ati rage 4 mb.
