I have a very basic question about running 3D and 2D graphics acceleration in Virtualbox on a Windows host with Ubuntu as the guest OS.

When Ubuntu is virtualized as guest, can somebody tell me if Unity works with the HD3000 graphics built into Sandybridge?

I have a laptop with an pre Sandybridge Core i5 and an Nvidia 330M. If I force the laptop to use the 330M then Unity works without issue. With the IGP Ubuntu fails to boot. I want to know if the HD3000 graphics has sorted out this issue.

    Thanks for your help.
