I am have been thinking about installing a virtual machine to play around with different operating systems (windows 7 and Kubuntu)on my laptop. I downloaded virtual box but when I tried to install it I get a warning that the software is not certified for XP.
Has anyone run virtual box on XP, did you have any issues?
Thanks in advance.

What? Virtual box isn't compatible with XP? I haven't had any issue with virtual box virtual machine software inside a windows xp vmware virtual machine. LOL.
Try Virtual PC from microsoft. -
it definitely works in XP Home & Pro - you're not trying to install the 64 bit version are you?
-
The download site only lists one one version for windows hosts, version 2.2 installer. I don't see and option to download 32 or 64 bit versions. I am running XP pro 32 bit. When i try to install virtualbox it comes up with an error that says the software has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility. My instinct is that it is just microsoft trying to scare people into using their virtual pc. I have heard better reviews of virtualbox so thought id try it first.

Nothing wrong with virtualbox, I've used it and loads of other use it.

 You need to read up on 'Windows Logo' testing and what it really means before knee-jerking on the issue.

And yes it does work on XP
