So Vista home basic doesn't have the Aero look?
-
no, unfortunately you will need atleast the home premium.
-
Nopes, Vista Home Basic has no Aero, no Media Center. In my opinion, Windows XP Home is better than Home Basic.
-
XP Professional
-
Can you download Aero to your computer once you have Vista home basic?
-
Nope, Aero just doesn't exist for Vista Home Basic.
-
And does Vista Premium need 2GBs?
-
-
Minimum requirements are 1gb.
-
Does 1GB for Premium slow the computer down any? And would you lose memory faster?
-
If I get Windows XP, can't I download the Aero look onto that?
How much is Vist Premium by itself anyway, I mean if you buy the OS apart from the computer? -
No, you can't download Aero for XP. It's a Vista-only thing, but it's not included on Vista Home Basic. A Vista Home Premium OS will cost $250 for the full system, and I think either $99 or $149 for the upgrade version.

I don't even know why Microsoft even came out with Vista Home Basic. Might as well use XP. The whole point of Vista is its new looks.
