I have a new Dell 1520 with Vista Home Premium. This morning I kept on getting a flashing app bar in my windows Task Bar "Interactive Service". When I clicked on it, the screen goes blank and then switches to another screen (sort of looks more like Windows 3.1) which has a message that I need to click on - in this case it was for Snagit. When I do it blacks out the screen again and then comes back in Vista proper (except the one time when it compeltely logged me off  ).

What is this about? And if I don't click on it an alert window comes up in Vista telling me there is a mesage waiting for my action and if I click on "Read the Message" it does as above.

I closed the SnagIt process for now, but don't want this coming up again. Any ideas?

Certainly sounds like you have a virus or spyware of some sort. D0 you have any antivirus protection? Try Avast or AVG, as well as SpyBot.
