If your system didn't come with a restore disk, you could always ask the manufacturer. But offering a link to download a torrent, even if it's just a recovery disk, I think is against the forum rules.
Besides, I would never trust a torrent. Could have viruses/trojans.

In the reading I did, that disk is legal. I don't know about the forum rules, but the use of the file is legal.

    Hi.

I have searched Microsoft and have found dozens of links to the one i initially game on the microsoft forum, and nobody said it was malicious of illegal.

I wish we could download it directly from microsoft, but it looks like the torrent is the only way.

I an expert could extract the files from the iso check it out and then upload the iso to a download site, it` only 120mb.

    regards

    John.

I'm 99% sure this is illegal or against forum rules one or the other.

Unless that counts as an affiliate or referral link, its legal. If that is illegal, then I'm gonna have issues with the forum rules.

If it's legal it's probably NOT against forum rules.

On a similar note, I used uTorrent to download Open Office and Ubunto and scanned the completed file with my AV. Is it still possible to pick up viruses?

    Well, now its removed.
So it must have been against forum rules.

Nope, you're safe if your AV is good.
