    About how much of your harddrive space does Vista take up?

    It depends which version you use, but with Home Premium I wouldn't bank on having much change from 10GB once you have everything set up and running, but you might get away with 8GB. I believe the quoted minimum is 6GB, but that'll be for Home Basic, which has stuff missing in comparison with Premium.

    A big HDD is usefull. The minimum is 40GB total with 15GB free for installation.

    SP1 needs like 10GB of temporary files
