Is there a way to change the way highlighted files appear. Like a different color instead of that light blue?

AFAIK, this was something supposed to be fixed by M$ but they never did.. and I figured out that unless we change appearance to classic options (instead of aero) there was not real way to change it.... there were a few "workaround's" on the web, including using VistaGlazz or something if I remember correctly, which I tried, but nothing worked to be honest.. so for now just kinda getting used to it.
But would be nice if there was a new way to change this...
If its really bugging, there one option is to go to the folder options and use check boxes for selection, which makes it kinda easier to see, particularly when selecting multiple files..... -

*sigh* That's sad to hear...
Where are these folder options with the checkbox option? -
from the top pull down menu'... like open C: and from the top pull down "organize" menu you could see folder options..
See Here for some screenshots > http://itsvista.com/2007/01/itsvista-tip-14-use-checkboxes-to-select-explorer-items-in-vista/
And a brief description of each, if it might help you...

I hope MS does something with that though. -
You can use Restorator 2007 to replace the PNG image(hightlighted colour) in the visual style(.msstyles) file
