Hi, I have just received my new Asus V1S. Media player is working fine playing cds, downloaded videos, mp3s etc but I am getting no sound at all playing DVDs with media player.

After googling I installed an AC3 codec (sorry but I don't fully no what this is), there was sound but it was so low as to be useless.

Can someone help me to get sound when playing dvds with media player.

    Thanks All

Thanks for the link, I have downloaded the file.

As a note I have now got reasonable dvd playback using powerdvd.

    Thanks again for the link.
