Just wondering what is the average score out there... Of course, I am not sure if this is a real indicator of the system' reliability and performance, but for me it looks like it, depending the up' and down' in the score I see in my system based on how much I am messing around with it...
So if you wish, can you please drop by and cast in your vote and also post anything you find interesting regarding this or if this is not a really perfect indicator, explain why you think so?Thanks a lot

when I was tweaking around heavily and setting it up.... and now its been climbing back gradually proportional to the level of stability / tweaks / performance I am seeing as well...

What's the point of this score? It seems more useless than your WEI score.
-
Well.. thats exactly what I wanted to know as well... from people who wished to drop in and elaborate exactly whatever it is.. And me, I don't know.. except that it seems to be that "higher the score, more reliable and well performing a system is"... is this is the actual reason behind Window' having this one? I don't know..

I opened R&P Monitor, but I don't see any score... Can you tell me how to find out what my score is?
-
On the left expand "Monitoring Tools" and then click on "Reliability Monitor".

The answer to the "what is this?" option of the poll: Windows Vιsta Performance and Reliability Monitoring Step-by-Step Guide.
The missing (imo) option of the poll: "I use XP." -
Wow driver trial and error can really mess this up. This tool considers software removal a negative thing. I like the monitor, but I dont like the scoring feature as it doesnt depict real stability.

Yeah Liquid... I dont know whats the rationale behind this.. if its going to give a warning symbol after a 'failure' for a software uninstall.. I was trying to uninstall SAS to update to the new version and got a comment that I had to restart the system, yes or no kinds to complete the uninstall process.. I selected no because I thought I will restart manually in a few mins after closing some working windows... then I restarted and everything was fine. When i checked back here, there was this symbol, and though the score was increased from the previous day, it was not by the usual pattern, but just by a little bit due to this warning which showed up as a 'failure'... wth!!! Anyway...

as of now I am at 7.3. I'll chalk this up to using betas including the vista service pack beta.

Score has never fell before 9, even with all my tweaking. Currently at 9.65, never really dropped below 9
Vista - What is your Score on the "reliability and performance monitor"?
