I think I read it somewhere but don't remember but can someone tell me if burning DVDs with Vista is "harder"? has something to do with copyright and authorization?

I'm trying to create a DVD video with either WIndows DVD Maker or Roxio, but it doesn't seem like either program is accepting my own videos. For example, I get to adding a video to the program for Windows DVD and says some of my videos are corrupted. Only a small number of videos work, including winodws's sample videos. The for Riox Creater DE, when you add a video, it says it cannot be edit if i drag it. If i just click add new movie, my videos all have an X as the thumbnail, including the ones that worked on WIndows DVD Maker. Only one that worked for Roxio was Window's samples vids.
