When i recieved my new laptop that came with Vista 64-bit pre installed, I reinstalled the x86(32bit) version for older software purposes.
Now I wanna run the disk for automatic system repair but I cant because I get a message saying I dont have the right OS for this Vista disk.
Why is this? The CD/ DVD has both versions fo Vista why is it acting as if I don't have a 32 bit disk???

The DVD does not have both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Vista. Your vendor probably only gave you the 64 bit install DVD. You need to contact your vendor or Microsoft to get the 64 bit DVD.
How did you install the 32 bit version? Did you use your own copy? I doubt that the DVD you got with the system has both 32 bit and 64 bit. The problem is that the boot loader has to be 32 bit to load the 32 bit Vista installer and 64 bit to load the 64 bit Vista installer. I do not know of any way for a bootable DVD to be able to boot into both 32 bit or 64 bit given user choice. -
Yes the disk is 32 bit and 64 bit!
It came with my Sager 9262 -
Do you have Vista Ultimate? That's the only one that I know that might come with both versions.

Yes I have Vista Ultimate

I wonder if your error is not that you have the wrong version--as in 32-bit v. 64-bit--but that you have since installed Vista SP1 (vs. an original RTM disk)? -
I don't know the answer, so I'll throw it out there - if the OP gets an iso of the full SP1 and burns it to CD/DVD, would that then enable system repair based on it being SP1? -

My Laptop came pre installed with Vista 64 Bit and the first thing I did was erase that install and I put Vista X86 on instead from the 32/64 Bit disk I was sent with my laptop!

once again, read my post. I think you can slipstream (technically, it's no longer slipstreaming with vista) sp1 into a rtm version of vista using vlite.
I haven't tried it, but then you can do what you are trying
