I have an older HP Pavilion dv6000 running Vista 64.

As of today, the time displayed in the lower right task bar is "stuck"! It sticks on whatever time the computer boots up. If you double click on the time, it updates to the correct time (only in the popup window), but the clock does not move in the popup or the task bar. The internet time synchro worked once, now shows error and won't work either.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance.

Well, it started working after a few reboots, now has stopped again!

I've definately not stopped any services. I did recently change from Comodo to Outpost firewall. I can't see anything that let's you specifically allow certain things in Outpost if it is the firewall causing this. Doesn't explain the intermittent nature of the issue either.

My wife says "do a system restore". This is her answer to everything.....

What about doing what your wife suggested and do a restore back to the last new updates you recieved or software you added / changed.

I thought I'd ask here before doing the system restore. I'm trying to find system restore in Vista. Did a search for system restore---it says "nothing found". When I click on backup and restore icon, nothing happens.

Ugh, I'll have to deal with this later tonight---off to work for 12 hrs :(
