    Hello All

    Here is my situation.

I have an HP Laserjet 1018 directly hooked up to an XP Home x86 Desktop via USB (this machine also acts as my main hub for my home network, it has a wired connection to the linksys router).

Part of my network is a XP Pro x86 laptop, and a newer Vista Bus x64 laptop.

The Problem: when I try to print form the Vista computer, I can connect fine to the printer, but I can't change ANY of the printer preferences (ie like multiple pages/sheet etc)... most of the options here are greyed out, and when I do try to click on them I get a little dialoge box stating that I do NOT have proper permission.

I do not have this problem on the XP pro machine.

Any suggestions? My guess is that I need to change the printer permissions on the XP home machine, but there is NO security tab in the printer properties where I can do this.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
