I received a new notebook and hate having to double click on the left mouse button to open things. This is driving me crazy. I had my old seven year notebook (Windows XP) set so that one left mouse button click would be the same as two clicks. Can someone tell me how I could do the same for Windows Vista?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Sure. Here's how. Open any folder window (Documents will suffice) When it opens, click on the organize button and choose "Folder and Search Options"

The single click option is right on the dialog box that opens.
