So I currently have Vista business 32, and I'm wondering if I should upgrade to Vista Ultimate 64.
Any good advice is greatly appreciated.

I thought you couldn't upgrade if you were switching architectures. To go from x86 to x64 you need to Clean Install it. At least that was the case for me.
But anyway I would recommend 64-bit. One of the biggest things I've noticed from upgrading from 2GB to 4GB RAM and switching to x64 is that file transfer speeds are much faster and more instantaneous than in 32-bit. -
Even if you don't have a need for 64-bit, I say if you can get all the drivers then go for it. It should give you some advantage speed wise, no matter how small it is.

Both, Vista OS 32 and 64 run on an x86 mobo architecture.

He can't do an in-place upgrade, but he can do a clean install.

I agree.
But my question is more gear towards, what do I gain in passing from Business 32 to Ultimate 64? -
DreamScene, baby!!!
And BitLocker encryption. And Media Center. And the ability to make use of 4 gb of RAM. And the HD version of Movie Maker. And DVD Maker. And... and... and membership to the very exclusive club of Vista x64 users! Make that Vista Ultimate x64 users! And to know that no version of Vista has any feature that's not in yours... except for 16-bit API compatibility. -
Hahahaha, that's sounds great.

Heres a better view of the key differences between the versions:
I scanned it from my WAU dvd (finally used my printer/scanner!)
Now ask yourself.. do you need those extra features? -
My friend. IMO if u want to save some money, then do a free "upgrade" to business 64 bit
. If u want to spend money then get ultimate 64 bit
.

Free upgrade???????? -
You dont need Ultimate to go 64bit.. Theres 64bit for basic, home premium and bussiness aswell.
As a matter of fact you only need a 64bit Vista install disc to go to Business 64bit. You can use your current licence. -
-
Yes, you can go to Business 64bit for free, you just need a 64bit install disc.
-
The only money spent here would be obtaining the 64 bit media. You do NOT need to purchase a 64bit license.
-
So, who is going to lend my his 64-bit disc?
