Here's a good one I found...best looking one I've had yet for those that don't know about it...I've switched to it from RocketDock...seems to use about the same amount of resources and comes with some great icons...if there's an update to this somewhere, please post:

Really, stolen? It is still named RKLauncher....had they changed the name I would have thought so too....you mean they don't know each other? ;)

    Great dock nevertheless...freeware

Yup. Apple came with a great idea. Ever since I installed Object Dock, I have been so happy. I really don't have a use for my taskbar anymore.

Agreed all dock apps rip off Apple, I'm using objectdock right now (on an old XP notebook with a Mac theme) which dock app is the less resource intensive one?

This dock IS RKLauncher, with some vista goodies added, that's all. I'm using it, loving it.

I've been watching it carefully, including resource usage which is about the same, maybe a little less than Rocket Dock. It has been stable for me, no probs.....best dock I've had yet.

Thanks for the quick response. I may want to give this a try at some point. I'm just weary about adding too many things to my computer at this point.

Oh, I'm using a dock. I have Objectdock. I can't ever see myself without a dock ever again, like you.

My question to you is does this function just like OS X, for the most part. I'm talking about the appearance mainly. I know they're two different operating systems, but are there similarities in the functionality? An example would the the "taskbar" at the top. Do the menu options change depending on what program you have open like the OS X? That's the best example that I could think of to give you a better understanding of the question I am asking.

There are a few to try....I've only tried RocketDock, ObjectDock, and this one....this is hands down the best looking one I used. I only want an icon organizer out of one, not a taskbar replacement, so this is perfect for me.

what's wrong with quick launch...? you can include "stacks" into a tool bar...you can auto hide it...you can include text. i dunno i just don't need the eye candy of a mac os X style dock... :)

I downloaded the Leopard dock skin for Rocketdock, but how do you make it 3D? It only shows up 2D for me.
