    Vista Dreamscene: 5-8% cpu usage on 1080p+ mpeg dream.

    2 gigs ram.
    8800gts.

    No effect on gaming using Dreamscene.

    Using other methods, on this 1920x1200 video, as in vlc, pc is hardly usable. Even my pc.

    As a side note, wmvs take up 20% plus.

    That's pretty much in line with what I've found. It's amazing how little CPU power high-res MPEG files use in dreamscene, although I think they are HEAVILY GPU accelerated, so that likely plays a part. And, yeah, wmv files use considerably more resources.

    BTW, what a cool feature. I had to go back to a still background on my notebook, though, as the GPU was producing WAY too much heat over hours of use.

    I now use a super good dynamic video wallpaper, that shows differen't things depending on time of day, but ya gotta buy it :-X
