I just got my new laptop and am getting everything set up the way I want it. I was moving the music folder from the the C: to the E: and thought I had done it successfully but when I opened the E: partition, I only saw the 'Sample Music' folder. The 'Music' folder was missing and all the shortcuts to it were broken. In it's place was the E: drive?!?!

I managed to somewhat fix the situation by creating a folder called 'Music' and right click restoring it to the original version, however, the 'Location' tab in the folder properties is missing. On top of that, I can't remove the E: drive from the list.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

PS: Not lovin the Vista experience

Vista is not XP (and, FWIW, Windows 7 will not be XP, either). Did you try it this way?

I'm pretty sure the problem was caused when I neglected to create a folder to move it to. I have moved all the other folders without any problems, it's just that I don't know how to reverse what I've done

I am not certain how to reverse it either. However, you should have two instances of My Music in your registry. One under HKCU\...\Explorer\Shell Folders\ and the other under HKU\..\Explorer\Shell Folders\. These are likely where the Location tab is populated from.
