    Vista Hangs UP on my Laptop

    I have a gateway FX laptop (7805p) that keeps hanging up after booting. The HD light starts blinking a heart beat and then I cannot do anything. I must turn the power off and reboot. Very annoying! I can operate in safe mode w/ netoworking. Has anyone else seen this or know what I can do to resolve this? Should I upgrade to windows 7? Can I upgrade to windows 7?

    Try re-installing the graphic driver? Do you have a restore point to go back to before this hangup occurred?
