I have Acer laptop with the following spec:
C2D T9300
4GB Ram
9500M GS 512MB Ram (+1280MB with TC)
etc.
and i got preinstalled Vista Home Premium 32bit. I have 2 problems:
1. I have read that the 4GB limit includes the Video memory, so with my VGA i would have 3.5GB Ram available in Vista, but i have 3GB only? Is this right?
2. Is it possible to upgrade to Vista Home Premium 64bit by using the same key, with some minimal fee and not paying the whole retail price? Or will the key work if i get a media with Home Premium 64bit from someone else?

1. It depends on the combination of hardware/bios/chipset, some laptops can use 3 only and some can use up to 3.5.
2. Yes, your key will work in both 32 and 64 bit, no need to pay for another license. -
Yes, you can borrow your friends 64-bit Vista HP disc and use your serial number that came with your laptop. That's probably the easiest way to do it.
