When I first bought the laptop in my sig below I thought that I would be formatting Vista based on my previous experiences with it (I am anti-Vista). But with the default Vista installed, all the devices like the microphone, webcam and remote control work perfectly and I am hesitant to delete Vista and start over again with XP. What are your opinions? Would it be difficult to get all the devices above working in XP MCE?

If it ain't broke...don't fix it. If you aren't having issues with Vista (some do, some don't as you are well aware) then why change it now?

That is a very good point. I've posted a thread in the Gaming forum about Vista compatibility with games; if it runs them OK, then I will prob keep Vista.

Btw, is there any difference in battery life with Vista?

In my (somewhat short) experience with Vista, I actually had better battery life. Not by much, but I noticed the difference. My GUI always turned off transparencies when on battery, which really saved the GPU from working a lot.
