I've been doing alot of googling but i cant find what i'm looking for..
Is there anyway to hide an icons on the system tray, without it coming back after a reboot??? I want a program i'm running on my laptop to NOT have its icon on the notification area.

That ^ and have you checked in that program' options / preferences / settings, for being able to chose whether you want to place an icon in the system tray or not?

    Yes.
The program has no option to hide its icon when running.
I did alot of googling and i did not find anything useful. I want to hide the icon permanently (such that it doesn't show up on the system at all and doesn't re-appear after restarting)

    Right Click on the Taskbar
    Properties
    Notification Area (tab)
    Hide Inactive Icons (check)
    Customize (button)
    Behavior -> Hide (Pulldown)

Lithus, the icon will still be on the system tray. I want it to be totally invisible.
The name of the program is Refog.

To make it totally invisible, you actually have to download custom software.

    Edit:

There is a Group Policy/ Registry Key that allows you to hide the whole System Tray.

+1 for a 3rd party app if one can find it. Windows registry would blanket the whole system tray and not just a certain app as OP wishes. Bummer really.

    cheers ...

heh, the only thing you would record from me would be this:

    *inserts usb stick to F:"

    Win-R
    F:\pskill refog.exe

what ever nice purpose your usage may have..

and no, if the app won't allow to disable the icon, you can't really remove it. and i am suspicious about your good purpose of using that tool and trying to hide it...
