    Hi

I tried searching for solutions. Hopefully there a quick fix to these issues so I don't have to reformat.
I have a Dell XPS M1530. Recently Vista updated itself and now it running soo
slow and all input devices on the laptop don't work.
I tried reinstalling drivers using Dell Resource CD but get error #5003, Add or remove from control panel.

Any ideas or do I have to reformat?

    Thanks!

Did you do a clean install from the beginning?

Well it been months since I did a clean install.
I did it when I first got the laptop in June.
everything just stop working such as webcam, usb ports, card reader, cd drive not operating right, it messed up.
I wanna save stuff but i cannot use my flash drive cause it doesnt show up.
    it so weird.

yes it will erase your system files and replace it with fresh ones from Vista DVD .... but it wont delete anything else

Yet there is a headache ... you need to re-install all the service packs , hotfix which is newer than then version on the DVD

By any chance did Adobe Reader do an update around the same time frame. I had similar issues and it seemed to be Adobe Reader and not the Vista Updates. I uninstalled the Reader and reinstalled the latest and things seem normal now. Kind of off the wall, but thought I'd throw that in.
