I recently installed new ram. I ran the vista diagnostics tool which scans your memory before entering windows. Now, every time I restart or start up my computer, the vista diagnostic tool scans my memory. How do I stop this program from running?

Thanks, hopefully that worked. I'm running memtest86+ right now. I bought 4 gigs of ram yesterday and it was defective. Replaced it this morning and I want to make sure this RAM is good.

I'll keep this thread handy. I recently ran my RAM diagnostic and would like to know what to do should it decide to start doing the same thing.
