Well I saw a thread on this made yesterday but unlike that post I'm not using a VPN to circumvent school BW limits!
Anyway I use my school's VPN to do library database searches for papers and stuff, and I've read a lot of reports that SP1 basically screws VPN on Vista.
I've also read however that it's often due to a 3rd party firewall conflicting with SP1 (which I don't have).
So my question is two fold: has anyone run into this problem after upgrading to SP1, and are you running a 3rd party firewall or not?
Thanks!

You might want to explain what kind of problem you are having with the VPN? and also they type of VPN being used.

Ah sorry I haven't installed SP1 yet so I'm not having the issue.
Here's an example http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3034126&SiteID=17
Basically after upgrading to SP1 people with third party firewalls can no longer connect to any VPNs. -
dont see why? at work we are testing vista ult with sp1 and using the checkpoint client without a problem... R60 is the release i believe.

o and the problem experianced on that page i can see is linked to the windows built in vpn client... which i can say i have had any problems..
the people on that page seem to think that the problem is the same with the OP... i dont think thats the case.
