    Hello everyone,

I think I upgraded to SP1 before it officially came out, I can't remember, but anyways, ever since i upgraded to SP1 I have these 2 lines of white writing on the bottom right hand corner of my desktop.

    Windows Vista (TM)
    Evaluation copy. Build 6001

How do I get rid of that? It's slightly annoying after all this time

    Hi.

can you not just remove the SP1 with Vista uninstall and then after a few boots, search for new software.

    regards

    John.

I'll tell you what - go ahead and install TweakVI (you know what it is right?). This utility has an option to enable/disable this version show on the lower right corner of the screen. Some people like it, other don't.

But I think you might have it installed already and somehow this option got enabled.

Disable it and you should be all set.

Although these watermarks can be removed, it would be a better idea to uninstall and download the rtm release from WU even if you have the leaked rtm release or any of the older beta versions.

You are using Vista SP1 RC ..RC is the release candidate, which means its not the actual SP1 but Beta version.

Right click Computer>properties.. and tell us if its Vista SP1 or the RC.
