Our vostros have upgraded fine, but to be entirely fair all of our vostros are now blanked and re-installed.

The driver suite and junk they install with their default install causes all sorts of havok so we blank them, install Vista fresh and patch then add the correct drivers.

That's right... their default install has junk in it which causes blue screens and driver faults...

If you have intel integrated graphics (x3100) you may need to update the driver.

    Go here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2800
Download the .zip version of the driver, and follow the instructions in the readme file for updating the graphics driver.

Or alternatively, just use Microsoft's standalone SP1 upgrader. You might have to reinstall a driver or two after upgrading.

When I first got my 1400, Windows Update showed two important updates. I can't remember what they were but after I installed them, then sp1 became available.
