    That's really strange...true, but strange...

I hope Vista breaks that trend though.

That was funny. I think the trend is going to stay that way. I'm not looking forward to Vista at all, especially after the ridiculous twice activation only rule.

Well he did technically miss 2003, but I'm looking forward to Vista, afterall, previous versions of windows were more or less the same, Vista is a big change in the overall appearance and functions.

I think it'll change. That's funny how the trend goes that way. And yes, he did skip 2003, but that isn't really considered wide use. If you count 2003 then you would have to count NT 4.0 and such, so it's best to just stick with the standard desktop versions for simplicity's sake.

By the way, I hate Windows 2000, so from my point of view, the trend was broken there.

Oh, he also did not include OS' such as Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, and Windows/286.

Yeah he skipped a lot just to make it fit; but funny anyways.

True but less than 5% of population had a PC back then to make a widescale judgement. And those other OS's you guys mentioned were not Major Used.

But I do think Vista will break the trend, I been using it DAILY since RC2. I only use XP for active sync and gamming now.

Ummm... no. It's basically Windows 2003 (which is good) with added security and a better UI. I don't see how that adds up to sucking hard. But that's me...

I for one am looking forward to it, as soon as all the kinks get worked out that is . I don't ever touch an OS until a major SP has been released. Too many holes. But Vista has all kinds of nifty new little features I am dying to try out, especially Aero. I like pretty things.
