The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Vista Sidebar gadgets not updating

    Basically, a few days ago, my Vista sidebar gadgets stopped updating. This has happened, before, but the gadgets have performed normally after I refresh them using the options icon built into the gadget.

    However, currently, those sidebar gadgets that rely on the internet to update have not been working. Their options icon has even disapperared.

    Does anyone have any idea how to reset the sidebar or get these gadgets working again?

    might have something to do with rss feeds, conflict between refresh time interval and cache. i m not into this area, but google rss feed issues and see what u can find
