    Vista Sp1 Update, ? ? /

    I just recently installed vista SP1 on my Dell E521 and Im looking at my system info and I do not see That my system was update to SP1 any answerers...

    This is what i download it

    The stand alone package is the the post beta, pre release RC version. This update is remarkable!!This means SP1 is about to be released any day now

    If the Sp1 is not updating even with the standalone package then you might have the same problem i do... when i was doing updates it was going through all the way... at the end it would say updates failed and would revert changes... unfortunately i didnt find a solution to that so if you get an error again with the standalone package you should probably just wait for the public release of SP1

    when it will be released the SP1 Final? i dont like BETAS.

    I got that error when I installed SP1 over my vesion of Vista which came with my VAIO laptop (OEM Business).

    But then I formatted and did a clean install of the retail version of Vista Business using the same CD Key that I was using and it installed just fine!

    I would guess that you should just keep looking forward to the next Tuesday. Microsoft traditionally releases their updates on Tuesdays, usually only once a month. That said, the 15th is a Friday.

    yeah i dont want to format my entire computer for a beta version of a service pack... i have too much stuff installed on there and i dont want to go through it all again...
