Does anyone know how to fix the problem with disappearing Vista Restore Points after doing a complete restore with Acronis? I have Acronis True Image Home 2009 build 9709 (latest build).

this is not a problem with acronis!! when you restore with acronis your whole C:" partition deleted then restored to the point where you saved it with acronis! thus if you created the restore points later on, obviously they won't be there!

Sorry hendra, but unfortunately you cannot fix this "problem."
Vista uses a different mechanism for system restore points than XP. Vista uses the Volume Shadow Copy Service which keeps a map of all changed sectors on the disk as files are created/deleted/changed.
When you restore a True Image image, the restored image does not end up in the same exact sectors as the source image so when Vista's Volume Shadow Copy Service detects the changes upon first reboot, it says ?, throws up its hands and rather than trying to figure out what happened it deletes all of the restore points and starts making them from scratch again.
