I reformatted my computer and for some odd reason Vista is unable to detect my hard drive. Windows Xp has no problem detecting my drive so I know its not a connection problem. Can somebody help me? thanks in advance

Newer system.....hmmm...have you installed the Intel Matrix Storage driver (AHCI) during the installation process?

Or...in the case of the Toshiba would it be necessary before starting the installation as the drive is not recognized at all?
