Sup yo
do u think my laptop would be able to run win vista when the upgrade comes out?
Dell Inspiron 6000
Pent M 1.6
512 Ram
128 mb AtI graphic card
80 gb hdd
bluetooth
wifi
800 bus speed
etc
thanks

Since i have the Exact same setup, I SURE HOPE SO !!
-
it would help if you had a 64 bit cpu and decent graphic card!
-
the ati rad x300 128 MB is a decent graphics card
all you have to do is overclock it a bit
mine runs gta san andreas at 1920*1600 32 BIT perfectly
all setting to max except anti alaising off( what is that by the way)
as for the 64 bit, it is not needed, its just for betta perfromace, but it will still work good with 32 bit i think
thanks -
yeah, that cards ok
I think vista will be 64 bit though... -
Vista will have both 32 bit and 64 bit, and there won't be much of a benefit except using programs, not games that much, that do produce a bit of an advantage.
Either that or bragging rights! -
I believe the minimum req are 512MB RAM which means you will probably need 1 Gig for any kind of performance...

Shouldn't have a problem with that setup. Vista's reqs will be a little higher than WinXP's. Any modern computer should be able to run it. Just be sure to have a DirectX 9.0 hardware graphics card for the best possible experience!

Thanks guys
i sure hope it works
also
any of you know where i could get a bluetooth mouse ( without reciever) for pretty cheap?
thanks -
Most bluetooth mouses are pretty expensive and basic.
I'd wait until December or so, there should be much more of a selection. Anf cheaper prices which is always good! -
